Circles & Learning Workshops

Creative Expression Circle

Whether it's collaborative mural work, guided journaling, movement meditation, or ritual crafts, each circle honors the power of expression as a tool for emotional release, cultural remembrance, and inner clarity.

Open to all ages and backgrounds, these circles are donation-based and support our mission of intergenerational healing, cultural arts preservation, and community well-being.

Tai Chi & Tea Circle

The Tai Chi & Tea Circle blends gentle martial arts practice following with sharing discussion over tea. Participants are guided through foundational Tai Chi movements—cultivating balance, breath, and presence—followed by a shared tea ceremony and reflective friendship circle.

After movement, we enter a space of stillness and story, where we explore the Triple Self (3), Four Elements (4), and Seven Virtues (7) as tools for inner awareness, ancestral remembrance, and intergenerational healing (Lola Zen Project 3-4-7).

This circle is open to all levels and bodies, offering a grounded and restorative practice for those seeking physical wellness, spiritual insight, and cultural reconnection through embodied wisdom and sacred dialogue.

Ancestral Wisdom & Sacred Modalities for Navigating Grief & Loss

Grief is not a problem to be solved—it is a sacred passage to be witnessed, honored, and carried with care. The Lola Zen Project offers grief and transition support through a culturally grounded, spiritually sensitive lens. We weave together astrology, energy-based healing, ancestral remembrance, and paranormal discussion to create a compassionate space for those navigating loss, death, and spiritual transitions.

Using the Lola Zen 3-4-7 Pathway, we explore:

  • Astrology for Grief: Birth and death charts as sacred mirrors for understanding timing, soul purpose, and legacy

  • End-of-Life Conversations: Community-centered discussions on conscious dying, cultural rituals, and compassionate witnessing

  • Paranormal & Spiritual Transitioning: Dream visitations, signs from loved ones, and psychic sensitivity as part of the healing journey

  • Circle-Based Healing: Journaling, guided reflection, and elemental rituals to hold grief in a supportive, nonjudgmental space

Our approach is non-dogmatic and trauma-aware, honoring the unique experiences of each individual while uplifting community-based models of care rooted in ancestral memory, earth-honoring practices, and cross-cultural dialogue.

Whether you are actively grieving, preparing for an end-of-life transition, or supporting someone through loss, this offering holds space for truth, tenderness, and transformation.

Crone’s Circle: Wisdom from Elders

Do you feel like an elder of experience, someone with wisdom earned through years, milestones, or mastery in a craft? Whether you're an artist, comedian, healer, teacher, retired worker, or cultural carrier, the Crone’s Circle invites you to share your story and guide others through life’s transitions, questions, and creative paths.

This circle is designed to uplift elder voices and create intergenerational bridges across all fields: spiritual, artistic, practical, and mystical. Each gathering is led by a community elder who offers a talk, demonstration, or conversation that blends personal story with collective healing.

We believe that healing takes many forms from laughter and language to music, memory, or even good questions. Whether you’ve walked through grief, built a business, raised a family, survived change, or mastered your art, your insight matters.

Come facilitate. Come witness. Come remember.

These donation-based events are open to all, and we especially welcome elders from diverse cultural backgrounds to share practices, perspectives, and tools for personal and community growth.

🌿 Roots of the Lola Zen Project

The Lola Zen Project is rooted in the ancestral wisdom of Babaylan spirituality and the mindful discipline of Zen and Bushidō. It began as a way to reclaim healing, storytelling, and spiritual guidance through the voices of elders—especially grandmothers, grandfathers [The Lola], and those walking the path of wisdom. Grounded in community care, the project honors life cycles, elemental forces, and sacred virtues through its 3-4-7 Pathway, offering circles, teachings, and rituals that reconnect people to their purpose, culture, and creative spirit.

What We Do

Lola Zen Project integrates arts and wellness practices through workshops, circles, and retreats that blend creative expression with holistic healing. Our workshop offerings invite participants to explore self-awareness, grief, and community connection through movement, astrology, journaling, and cultural arts.

Each program is facilitated by local artists, therapists, and elders, fostering collaboration across disciplines while promoting mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being. The organization operates as a grassroots nonprofit, reinvesting all donations into accessible programming, facilitator stipends, and community resources.

Why It Matters

In an era of isolation and cultural fragmentation, The Lola Zen Project restores intergenerational healing and ancestral wisdom through creative practice. By combining arts and wellness in culturally inclusive spaces, we help individuals reconnect with their stories, honor their roots, and find belonging within community care.

Our impact extends beyond individual growth. We are building a living model of cultural restoration, where healing arts are not a privilege but a shared right. The Lola Zen Project empowers participants to become co-creators of collective resilience, bridging traditions and modern therapeutic practice for the well-being of future generations.
